White Christmas

The week before Christmas, the news was filled with reports of the possibility of snow on Christmas Day. We live in a area where they are often wrong when it comes to snow. We usually do see snow once or twice a year, but it's infrequent enough that it's always exciting. I didn't get very excited about the forecast, and totally expected the weather guys to downgrade their forecast.

On Christmas morning we turned on the weather, watched the doppler, and started to hope! It looked like we had a great chance for a White Christmas. The radar teased us all day, and I was starting to think that it may pass us by - or at least miss Christmas. And it almost did. But around 6pm, we started to see some flakes on our way home from John's parents house. By the time we went to bed, the flakes were big, and we had enough on the ground to officially call it a "White Christmas".

Sunday morning we got up, and didn't waste too much time being lazy before we layered up to go outside and play in the snow. Whit saw some snow in Charleston last year, but of course didn't remember it at all. He enjoyed it for the most part, but was ready to come in after an hour or so.

Daddy & Whit checking out the accumulation after getting up on Sunday morning.

Of course we had to make a snowman!

Whit didn't really like walking in the snow.

He did like wiping the snow off of Daddy's car. He thought it was pretty funny when the snow would fall off the car.

He also loved eating the snow. This came as no surprise, as Whit tries to eat everything.

Very happy to be in the wagon & out of the weird white stuff.

Starting to get cold.

Finished product!
