He's still not crawling - stubborn like his parents. But is starting to try to pull up. He's not close yet, but he wants to so badly. He gets mad very easily when he wants something but can't seem to figure it out (like going from sitting to standing, or tummy to sitting). We're really encouraging the pulling up because we're ready for him to move out of the infant room at school. Most kids move up when they start crawling, but we've pretty much given up on the crawling. For babies who don't crawl (I've been assured by his pediatrician that a lot don't), they will move him up when he can pull up.
His curiosity is never ending, and he wants to touch (& eat) everything. His favorite things are "real" objects as opposed to toys. He likes his toys, but he prefers whatever Mom & Dad happen to be holding (you know, the cell phone, the remote control, set of keys, hot cup of coffee, etc). He especially loves paper of any kind - so Christmas should be fun! The challenge will be preventing him from eating it!
Here are some pictures of him & some favorite "toys"...
Laundry baskets provide endless entertainment - but don't expect too much help folding!
Another fun toy is the diaper box (& bag of wipes). Seriously folks, if you want to give him a Christmas present that he and Mommy & Daddy will love equally, a box of size 4 diapers will be just the thing!
Whit still loves to play with Libby. We're very lucky that she's such a calm cat & loves to play with him too. Before & after school, Libby is right by his side, trying to get Whit to "pet" her. He "pets" by grabbing fists full of fur, but surprisingly, she seems to love it!
Of course, Daddy is the BEST toy!!
