Twas The Night Before Christmas

It's January 07. I'm still talking about Christmas. And we're not even up to Christmas Day. But we're getting close!!!

We spent Christmas Eve with the Maddens, a tradition I've never missed once in my life. As always, it was a blast & the food was awesome. The adults decided to forgo the gifts this year and instead made donations to a charity. We brought $10 gifts to do a Chinese Christmas exchange, which was pretty funny. The gifts ranged from gag gifts to gift cards. I ended up with a Snuggie!!! It was seconds away from being stolen away by my aunt, but my cousin saved the day by fessing that he'd gotten her one for Christmas. My sister brought the most loved/hated gift of the night (pictured below).

Since Whit was born right after the holidays last year & we don't live close, this was only the second Madden get-together Whit's been to (Thanksgiving being the first). So far his track record is not great. Both times he's been a little under the weather. Christmas Eve he was not a happy camper, but was a trooper considering he didn't feel good. On top off being sick, his top teeth were still coming in, so the drool was constant! A huge thank you goes out to all my family members who helped to keep Whit happy!!
